Abstract
In this Announcement, the Libyan Arab Republic declares that the Gulf of Surt located within the territory of the Libyan Arab Republic and surrounded by land boundaries on its east, south and west side, and extending north offshore to latitude 32 degrees and 30 minutes, constitutes an integral part of the territory of the Libyan Arab Republic and shall be under its complete sovereignty. Where the Gulf penetrates Libyan territory and forms a part thereof, it shall be considered internal waters.
