Law No. 17 of 2016 amending Law No. 20 of 2013 establishing the Administrative Oversight Authority.

This amendement modifies the original Law in article 42 and 38. the amended Article 42 empowers investigation members akin to the Public Prosecution in criminal cases, enabling the director to forward cases to court based on evidence or release the accused if no grounds exist, with presidential intervention and appeal options. Article 38 now permits inspections of locations related to accused individuals; for instance, Commission members are authorized to search the workplaces of implicated employees without requiring permission from the Public Prosecution.
