Law No. 20 of 1989 amending some provisions of Law No. 133 of 1970 regarding the organization of the Agricultural Bank.

This Law, comprising 4 articles, amends the original Law primarily in the following key articles: (i) Article 3, focusing on the bank's objectives, which include supporting agricultural and animal production, providing financial assistance, and facilitating imports to achieve production goals; (ii) Article 5, outlining conditions for accepting deposits; (iii) Article 7, assigning bank management to a popular committee; (iv) Article 9, stipulating monthly meetings and decision-making procedures; (v) Articles 24 and 25, governing the bank's fees and interest rates; (vi) Article 27, assigning auditing responsibilities to the People's Monitoring Authority; and (vii) Article 28, directing the allocation of net returns to the bank's reserve, with any surplus directed to the general treasury.
