Abstract
This Law, comprising 5 articles, introduces the following amendments (i) Article 3 requires the National Anti-Corruption Authority to receive, review, and manage financial disclosures, request relevant information as needed, adopt standardized forms in line with the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and establish a system to regulate their submission and timelines; (ii) a new paragraph is added to Article 3, granting the president of the Authority the power to impose travel bans and notify all land, sea, and air entry points during corruption-related investigations; (iii) Article 25 is amended to increase penalties for corruption offences and introduce additional sanctions for submitting false or late financial disclosures; (iv) Article 29 is amended to regulate the preparation, submission, and legislative review of the Authority’s annual budget, including provisions for auditing its accounts.
