Abstract
This Resolution consisting of 17 articles aims to establish the Technical Center for Environmental Protection, affiliated with the Secretariat of Health. The Center specializes in (i) developing environmental plans and programs and overseeing their implementation; (ii) supervising environmental sanitation and research, keeping abreast of scientific advancements; (iii) collaborating with local and global entities to mitigate pollution and advance related studies; (iv) conducting awareness campaigns on environmental protection and pollution prevention; (v) granting permissions for potentially polluting activities; (vi) monitoring international environmental agreements and utilizing them; (vii) assessing the environmental impact of proposed projects before their initiation; (viii) organizing seminars, training, and scientific courses; (ix) reviewing environmental legislation. The Center shall have a Supreme Scientific Committee that oversees scientific studies concerning environmental protection, proposing solutions to environmental issues, approving programs, budgets, financial systems, and organizational divisions, and setting pollution prevention protocols for implementation by relevant authorities. The Center is managed by an Administrative Committee overseeing its operational plan, budget, financial and administrative systems, construction projects, scientific studies, employee matters, pollution control measures, and any other tasks delegated by the Supreme Scientific Committee.
