Decree No. HDC22/1996 of the Department of Trade validating the Regulation on the rates of natural loss on foodstuffs and non-alimentary products in trading enterprises of all types of ownership and the modalities of its application.

This Decree validates the rates of natural loss of foodstuffs and non-alimentary products in trading enterprises of all types of ownership and the modalities of its application. Rates of natural loss on foodstuffs shall be applicable to natural loss of foodstuffs in retail trading network (Annexes 1 and 2); natural loss of foodstuffs stored at storage facilities of public catering enterprises (Annexes 3 and 4); natural loss of foodstuffs at small-batch facilities, including small markets, in the process of storage of foodstuffs destined for supply to public catering enterprise (Annexes 5, 6 and 7); cheese in case of storage in refrigerators (Annexes 8 and 9); food products during transportation by road and horse-drawn transport (Annexes 10 and 11); and losses from breaking glass containers with foodstuffs during transportation by road and horse-drawn transport, in warehouses, in retail trade enterprises, catering establishments, as well as the rate of losses from breakage and chipping of empty glass containers during acceptance, storage and release in container warehouses of wholesale and retail trade organizations, retail trade networks, catering enterprises, when loading into railway wagons, during transportation by road, horse-drawn transport and instructions for the application of these standards (Annexes No. 12, 13, 14 and 15). In catering establishments for weight goods sold through buffets (except for goods sold in portions), shall be applicable the rate of natural loss, approved by this Decree for the retail trade network of all forms of property in the Republic of Moldova, with a decrease of 20 percent.
