Abstract
This Government Decree establishes that National Public Health Agency is an administrative body subordinated to Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, with territorial departments - the centers of public health, responsible for the implementation of state policy in the areas pertaining to its competence. The Agency fulfills the functions established by this Regulation in following areas: (a) state supervision, promotion and protection of public health; (b) state control (inspection) in the field of health; (c) monitoring and assessment of the health status of the population; (d) accreditation of the activities of health and pharmaceutical institutions; and (e) safety of work. The competence of the Agency includes, inter alia, disinfection, disinsection and deratization in the outbreaks of transmitted diseases, as well as in the premises and territories where exist conditions for the outbreak and spread of infections.
