Government Resolution No. HG1296/2008 regarding the method of collecting ecological payments for import goods which, in the process of use, cause environmental pollution and for the packaging in plastic and/or "tetra-pack" of imported goods.

In accordance with this Government Resolution, an environmental declaration means a unilateral act of a public nature, in which a person (a declarant on his own behalf or a customs broker) individually, under his own personal responsibility, declares to the customs authorities the amount of payment for environmental pollution and also assumes responsibility for the complete payment of this fee in accordance with the form and in the manner prescribed by acting legislation. The environmental declaration is submitted in accordance with the approved template contained in the Annex 1.
