Government Resolution No. HG891/2023 amending Governmental Decree No. 356 validating Technical Regulation Organization of Grape and Wine Market .

Grape and wine products shall not be stored for the purpose of sale or placed on the market in vessels provided with closures with caps or foil containing lead. Wine products can be sold if they comply with the following requirements, defined as trading standards: (a) presentation, labelling, packaging, including rules applicable to packaging centers, labeling, harvest year and use of special terms, without prejudice to designations of origin and geographical indications; (b) appearance and characteristics of the product; (c) specific substances used in the production process, or components or constituent parts, including their quantitative content, purity and identity; (d) type of agricultural activity and production method, including oenological methods and advanced sustainable production systems; (e) blending of must and wine, including their definitions, blending and relevant restrictions; (f) restrictions on the use of certain substances and practices; (g) conditions governing disposal, storage, handling and use of products that do not meet the requirements specified in subparagraphs 1)-5), or definitions, names and trade descriptions specified in Annex No. 4, and also disposal of by-products.
