Governmental Decree No. HG817/2020 validating the Regulation on certification of specialists in the field of geodesy, cartography, topographic surveys, geoinformatics, real estate evaluation and cadastre.

This Regulation establishes the procedure for certification of specialists in the field of geodesy, cartography, topographic surveys, geoinformatics, real estate evaluation and cadastre, as well as organization and implementation of activities of certification commissions in the relevant areas. The purpose of certification of specialists in these areas is to determine the level of knowledge of the regulatory and technical base required to perform relevant jobs, their professional skills, stimulation of professional development, as well as increased responsibility in practical activities and identification of risk factors. The certification procedure is organized quarterly. The certification procedure is based on the following principles: (a) objectivity - creating equal conditions for certification for all applicants; (b) impartiality - providing impartial certification based on clearly defined criteria and a unified methodology for assessing the level of competence and assessment of the professional activity of the applicant; (c) transparency - providing all applicants with information about the topic written test and interview, on the procedure for conducting and organizing the procedure of certification, criteria for assessing the professional activity of the applicant; and (d) social justice - an objective assessment of practical knowledge and skills of applicants and their professional training, provision, suspension/revocation of certificates, regardless of nationality, gender, workplaces and their political affiliation or belonging to a particular social group.
