Instruction No. 33 on the modalities of carrying out the state environmental audit.

This Instruction determines the purpose, the tasks, the principles, the objects and the subjects of the state environmental audit, the modalities of organization and carrying out thereof, sets requirements for the project and planning documentation, and also establishes the modalities of submittal thereof for environmental audit. Environmental audit can be carried out by the state bodies, branch and public associations. The state environmental audit shall be carried out exclusively by the central authorized environmental body and its territorial branches. The basic principles of the state environmental audit shall be complex examination of technical, ecological, social and economic data of the projected economic activity. Any new economic activity shall be subject to compulsory state environmental audit.
