Abstract
This Law establishes legal and administrative grounds for quality and safety control in the sphere of manufacturing and trade of ethyl alcohol and liquors. It also has as its scope conservation and protection of traditional liquor trademarks and suppression of fraud. The provisions of this Law shall not be applicable to beer. Alcoholic beverages shall be labelled in accordance with the established modalities. The Act consists of six Sections divided into 36 articles: (1) general provisions; (2) manufacturing of ethyl alcohol and liquors; (3) import and export; (4) internal trade; (5) liability; and (6) conclusive and transitional provisions. Trade of alcoholic beverages without labels or with labels bearing wording of healing or medicinal properties of the produce shall be prohibited. Manufacturing of ethyl alcohol and liquors shall be licensed and the manufacturers shall be registered in the National Register.
