Law No. 386-XV on tobacco.

This Law establishes legal and economic grounds for the organization of production, processing and trade of tobacco. Production and trade of tobacco seeds shall be licensed. Super elite and elite seeds shall be used for the production of tobacco seeds in accordance with licensing contract with the patent owner. Imported seed shall be accompanied by certification. Tobacco seed quality shall conform to standards and shall be evaluated by the authorized institution. Tobacco growers shall use pesticides and other authorized substances for plant protection. The state quality control of tobacco seeds shall be carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
