Law No. LP105/2024 “On the agricultural accounting information collection network”.

This Law establishes the institutional and regulatory framework regarding the network of collection of agricultural accounting information and aims to create the agricultural accounting information collection network, which is established for the purpose of collecting the necessary accounting information related to: (a) annual determination of the income of agricultural holdings; and (b) carrying out the analysis of the economic activity of agricultural holdings. The information obtained in accordance with this Law shall serve as the basis for drawing up reports on the incomes earned by agricultural holdings in the national territory. The respective reports shall be made available to the general public on the single government portal of open data. Accounting information shall be intended any technical, financial or economic information relating to an agricultural holding, resulting from accounts, and consisting of systematic and regular records made during the management period. The National Information Network Committee shall be responsible for determining the number of agricultural holdings with their own accounting and for approving the plan for selecting participating holdings, specifying the distribution by categories of agricultural holdings. The economic size of the agricultural holding is determined based on the production total standard of the respective holding. Each participating holding is the subject of an anonymous and individual farm return. The correctly completed agricultural holding sheet must include accounting information that allows: (a) characterization of the holding with its own accounting, according to the reported data regarding the basic elements of the factors of production; (b) evaluation of different forms of farm income; and (c) conducting a survey to verify the veracity of the information provided.
