Law No. LP126/2025 “On the financing, management and monitoring of agricultural policy”.

This Law establishes the basic rules regarding: (a) the general and specific objectives to be achieved through the financial support granted from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment, support that contributes to the implementation of agricultural policy; (b) the institutional framework; (c) the common requirements and types of interventions, through which the achievement of the general objectives is sought, as well as the related financial measures; (d) the financing, management and monitoring of agricultural policy, in particular the rules relating to the financing of expenditure, to the management and control systems, as well as to the procedures for financial verification and compliance of payments; (e) the Strategic Agricultural Policy Program, which establishes the intervention strategy, indicators, conditions for interventions and indicates the financial resources and sources of financing, in accordance with the specific objectives and identified needs; and (f) monitoring, reporting, evaluating and ensuring the transparency of the Strategic Agricultural Policy Program. In accordance with the goals of agricultural policy and that of maintaining the functioning of the agricultural market and fair competition conditions between farmers, the financial support granted from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment aims to continue improving the sustainable development of agriculture, the agri-food sector and rural areas. Financing from the state budget and from financial sources provided by development partners of interventions and measures falling under the agricultural policy is carried out through the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment.
