Law No. LP239/2025 “On the approval of the Calculation Methodology for losses caused by the transfer of agricultural land or land intended for forestry to another destination category”.

The Calculation Methodology for losses caused by the transfer of agricultural land or land intended for forestry to another category of destination is developed in order to establish a single method for calculating these losses. Compensation for losses caused by the transfer of agricultural land or land intended for forestry to another category of destination is carried out, in all cases, by interested natural persons and legal entities, regardless of the purpose and the type of ownership over them. The funds intended to compensate for losses caused by the transfer of agricultural land or land intended for the forestry to another category of destination shall be collected from the state budget, if the decision was approved by a Government decision, or from the local budget, if the decision was adopted by the council of the first or second level administrative-territorial unit or by the People's Assembly of Gagauzia. Losses shall be calculated in accordance with the following criteria: the area of the land parcels and the soil quality score, with the application of the tariff for a point-hectare unit to the calculation of losses caused by the transfer of agricultural or forestland to another category of destination and the tariff correction coefficient for a point-hectare unit.
