Ministerial Decree No. 45 validating the Regulation on transportation of hazardous waste and mitigation of consequences of possible incidents.

This Ministerial Decree establishes requirements for the transportation of hazardous substances by all means of transport on the national territory and sets basic provisions for organization, technical support and safety in the process of cargo-handling operations and transportation of hazardous substances. Owners of cargo of hazardous substances must inform in the written form 12 hours in advance local authorities on which territory shall be carried out transportation of hazardous substances of the route, time and type of cargo. Types of vehicles, storage and transportation conditions and labelling of cargo must comply with technical terms, conditions and standards. Hazardous substances shall be classified in accordance with risk category.
