Ministerial Decree No. 644 establishing competent institutions related to commodities with certified places of origin, geographic areas and national products of guaranteed origin, and also competent bodies responsible for official control over compliance of such products.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that authorized state institution in relation to foodstuffs, including grains, fruits, vegetables, tea, oil, meat products, fish products, tobaccos, enological products and beverages shall be the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. Authorized state institution in relation to medicinal mineral water shall be the Ministry of Public Health.
