Abstract
This Order establishes periods and zones in which fishing is prohibited in natural fishery water bodies within the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the year 2026 and provides for the prohibition of sport, amateur and recreational fishing for all aquatic biological resources. It establishes prohibition periods applicable to specified sections of the Dniester River, Prut River, reservoirs, lakes and tributary rivers, and establishes a general prohibition in natural fishery water bodies not assigned for aquaculture activities, with an exception for technological fishery measures.
It determines water bodies and zones where fishing is prohibited throughout the year, including areas near bridges, dams, river mouths, confluences and specific lakes, wetlands and river sectors, and provides that fishing of species included in the Red Book of the Republic of Moldova and of a specified fish species in the Dniester basin is prohibited. It assigns the control of compliance with the provisions of the Order to the Environmental Protection Inspectorate and establishes that non-compliance entails liability under the applicable legislation.
