Order No. OMM121/2023 of the Ministry of Environment validating hunting quotas for some species of fauna of hunting interest, for which hunting is permitted, for the 2023-2024 hunting season.

The Minister, in order to preserve the diversity of fauna of interest to hunting, and ensuring ecological balance orders as follows: (a) to validate hunting quotas for certain species of wild fauna species (game) for which hunting is authorized for the 2023-2024 hunting season, contained in the Annexes No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 and No. 4; (b) the quota for catching foxes and jackals is unlimited; hunting method - the chase of foxes and jackals begins in the line of inhabited areas with the mandatory use of hunting dogs; (c) hunting period for sika deer (Cervus nippon) shall be set from September 1 to 31th of December; hunting period roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) shall be set from August 1 to 15 October for males and from September 1 to December 31 for females; and (d) in the state forest fund and the fund intended for hunting purposes, it is mandatory to hunt wild boars in ratio of 50% for both sexes; hunting of female specimens is carried out at the expense of adult species.
