Abstract
This Law here regulates the way of encouragement and planning of the national regional development as an important part of the national development strategy, including several other issues of importance for the regional development.
Major aims of this text are to determine and offer: high level of socio-economic development and security of the Republic of Montenegro; assure the respect of principles of sustainable development; uniform development of local self-government units; use of European Union funds devoted to the regional development; an accelerated approach to the development of less favored local self-government units by increasing and optimizing their development potentials; and several environmental protection and sustainable development issues.
This text is divided into IX Chapters and 30 articles, including the offences and consequential penalties.
