Abstract
This Law regulates the establishment and maintenance of spatial data infrastructure, as well as other issues relevant to spatial data infrastructure.
Spatial data infrastructure is a set of technologies, rules and standards for processing, access, exchange and optimal use of spatial data, regarding the national geo-spatial survey, also for the means of the European Union Spatial Data geoportal (Inspire geoportal).
Spatial data within the meaning of this Law shall be related to the following areas: coordinate reference systems; geographical systems of networks; geographical names; administrative units; addresses of real estate locations; cadastral parcels; traffic networks covering traffic, rail, air and water transport networks, electronic communications networks and associated infrastructure; hydrography; protected areas, also for protected immovable cultural property; digital elevation models for land and water; land cover; photographic data of the Earth's surface, obtained by satellite or by recording from air (orthophoto); geology; statistical units; location of facilities; land; purpose of surfaces; human health and safety; utilities and other services of public interest; sites for environmental monitoring; production and industrial plants; agriculture and aquaculture facilities; population distribution-demography; areas designated as protected zones or managed in accordance with special regulations; areas at risk of natural disasters; atmospheric conditions; meteorological-geographical characteristics; oceanographic-geographical characteristics; marine areas; bio-geographical regions; habitats and biotopes; geographical distribution of plant and animal species; energy sources; and mineral resources.
Article 23 sets the penalty measures.

Entry into force notes
