Abstract
This Law regulates the conditions for the production and placing on the market of strong alcoholic beverages and determines other issues of importance for the production and sale of strong alcoholic beverages in general. This Law does not apply to strong alcoholic beverages that a natural person produces for his own needs. The classification and definition of terms related to strong alcoholic beverages are also closely given in this text, among provisions regarding the packaging, labelling and registration rules. Strong alcoholic drinks or beverages are drinks: 1) intended for human use; 2) which have special organoleptic properties; 3) that contain at least 15% alcohol by volume, except for egg liqueur; 4) produced directly with the technique such as distillation of fermented products, maceration, by adding ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin, and similar (see article 3). Control and inspection provisions are laid down in Chapter IX. Offences and penalties are regulated in Chapter X.
