Order on reducing the number of a particular species of game.

This Order, with a view to combat and eradicate the African swine fever in wild boars, in an area of high risk of African swine fever, here determines the measure aimed to reduce the number of wild boars (Sus scrofa L.) to the biological minimum (half of the parent stock determined by the hunting regulations, i.e. the annual hunting plan, for the 2023/24 hunting year). The reduction of the number of game animals shall be carried out on hunting grounds that are listed in article 2 of this text. Samples of all shot animals shall be submitted for laboratory testing for African swine fever using the molecular diagnostic method (PCR).
This kind if reduction shall be carried out on Saturdays and Sundays no later than 28 February 2024.
