Abstract
This Law provides prescribes all necessary rules and requirements (administrative, data collection, inspection, competent bodies, hunting authorizations and permits, fees and charges, compensation and many other) aimed to offer a sustainable, safe and eco and animal friendly implementation of policies related to the management of wildlife and hunting on the territory of Montenegro.
The management of wildlife includes breeding, protection, hunting and use of game and its parts.
Game, as natural wealth of general interest, are legally defined animal mammals and birds which are free in nature or are grown in the area intended for raising and breeding for the purpose of hunting and/or similar use. This Law establishes measures to prevent the extinction of wild animals, such as shortening hunting season, and prohibiting the game of endangered species listed in CITES.
This Law is divided into XIV Chapters and 95 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
