Program for monitoring of pesticide use devices for 2024.

This Montenegrin Program for monitoring of pesticide use devices for the year 2024 here determines the implementers, number of devices and checklists for pesticide use devices. The aim of the Program is to check the technical correctness and functionality of devices and to check the individual working parts of these devices, as well as to assess the risk to the operator, as well as the working and living environment. Device control involves the application of rules for checking the technical correctness of devices, which ensures compliance with environmental requirements and minimizes harmful impacts on human health, plants, animals and the environment that could be caused by faulty devices, and in order to establish a system of regular inspections of devices that are already in use. The Program sets priorities in accordance with available data on the number of devices and the Program does not include hand-held or backpack motorized sprayers (without a barometer), as well as other similar devices. Priorities are defined, in accordance with the risk analysis, based on evidence of identified irregularities with the aim of determining the actual condition of the device through the use of checklists.
This text also supports the implementation of the National Plan for sustainable use of plant protection products for the period from 2021 to 2026. This text further transposes the provisions contained in the Annex II of the Directive 2009/128/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action to achieve the sustainable use of pesticides.
