Regulation on the ban of import and transit of sheep and goat consignments, meat and sheep and goat products in order to prevent the introduction of particularly dangerous infectious disease called small ruminant plague.

This Regulation, with the aim of preventing the possibility of introduction of particularly dangerous infectious disease called the plague of small ruminants in Montenegro, here sets the terms for the official ban or prohibition of import and transit of sheep and goat consignments, including the meat and other sheep and goat products.
This ban regards the sheep and goat consignments if deriving and/or transiting from Bulgaria and other countries in which (according to the data of The International Organization for Animal Health) there is a suspicion of a confirmation of the presence of such disease; this prohibition shall apply to: live small ruminants; seeds, embryos and fertilized egg cells originating from small ruminants; fresh meat; minced meat and meat products deriving from fresh meat; meat products and treated gastrointestinal, bladder and intestines for human consumption produced from goat of sheep meat; raw milk and dairy products, other than those subjected to treatment in a hermetic closed containers; by-products of animal origin.
