Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the detailed content and necessary manner for the application for registration of the mark of origin or geographical indication for agricultural products and foodstuffs, including the way, form and manner of keeping the register of designations of origin or geographical indications, further defining the procedure of registration and deregistration, the manner of application to be made when changing the product specifications, as well as the form and content of the application for cancellation of the decision on registration of designations of origin or geographical indications.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.

This Regulation adopts the principles contained in articles 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16 and 17 of the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1898/2006 of 14 December 2006 governing the rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 510/2006 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstuffs.
