Abstract
This Regulation determines the effective maximum allowable quantities of contaminants in food, including the manner for the prevention of abuses, necessary technical and hygiene procedures and information (listed in the Annex which is an integral part of this publication).
This text further sets the offences and consequential penalties.
This Regulation also adopts the rules contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 of 19 December 2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuff.
