Abstract
This Regulation sets all necessary provisions and principles aimed to provide several necessary rules as regards the mandatory detection, suppression and eradication of African swine fever (animal disease).
These animal health rules shall apply on all pigs/swine from the Suidae family, including wild boars if present on the territory of the Republic of Montenegro.
This Regulation further transposes the contents and principles Council Directive 2002/60/EC of 27 June 2002 laying down specific provisions for the control of African swine fever and amending Directive 92/119/EEC as regards Teschen disease and African swine fever; and Commission Decision of 26 May 2003 approving an African swine fever diagnostic manual.

This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette (except for the rules and provisions of the article 17, paragraph 2 that will enter into force upon the Montenegrin accession into the European Union).
