Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the measures aimed to prevent, detect, and suppress the swine vesicular disease, including the necessary diagnostic methods, additional veterinary measure to be considered, official laboratory testing issues (such as epizootic examination, see article 5).
This Regulation also transposes the rules contained in the Commission Decision 92/119/EEC of 17 December 1992 introducing general Community measures for the control of certain animal diseases and specific measures relating to swine vesicular disease; and Commission Decision 2000/428/EC of 4 July 2000 establishing diagnostic procedures, sampling methods and criteria for the evaluation of the results of laboratory tests for the confirmation and differential diagnosis of swine vesicular disease.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
