Abstract
This Regulation determines the physical method and quality scale for the classification of beef, swine, and sheep fresh meat and carcases.
This text also sets the necessary appearance of related labels, that will be applied after processing in slaughterhouse, veterinary-health checks and measurements in accordance with issues listed in the Annex 1 of this publication.
This Regulation further transposes the rules contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1249/2008 of 10 December 2008 laying down detailed rules on the implementation of the Community scales for the classification of beef, pig and sheep carcases and the reporting of prices thereof.
