Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the necessary method for the correct monitoring tasks and issues as regards the detection of the presence of bacteria Listeria monocytogenes (listeriosis-zoonosis) in ready-to-eat food of animal origin (monitoring/inspection/systematic analysis, continuous, random selection of various samples from retail establishments, and many other).
This Regulation transposes the rules contained in the Commission Decision of 5 February 2010 concerning the financial contribution from the Union towards a coordinated monitoring programme on the prevalence of Listeria monocytogenes in certain ready-to-eat foods to be carried out in the Member States.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
