Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the methodology for the appropriate official designation and mapping of erosive land or areas present on the territory of Montenegro.
The process and procedure of the designation of erosive areas is done on the basis of a methodology, consisting of: determination of erosive areas; making maps of erosive areas; effective designation of erosive areas.
The main objective of this text is to declare the sensitive areas in order to protect the land from erosion caused by water and wind, which can or may cause adverse effects on human health, environment, cultural heritage and economic activities.
Erosive areas are determined on the basis of an analysis of geological, terrestrial, physico-geographical, hydrological characteristics of space and land use, and also by taking into account: historical and archival data on past erosive events; studies, research and analysis of erosive phenomena have been carried out; meteorological and hydrological data; information on the harmful effects of erosive phenomena; possible impacts of long-term development plans and climate change on erosion; other data depending on the specificity of such particular area.
