Abstract
This Regulation sets out the manner, guidelines and complete set of technical and procedural standards to be used for testing over the hazardous properties of chemicals. This text transposes the provisions of the Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 laying down test methods pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
General physical and chemical properties of chemicals shall be tested according to the methods given in Annex 1, which, among other annexes, is part of this publication. Testing over the properties of chemicals that affect human life and health shall be conducted in accordance with methods given in Annex 2; and environmental properties of chemicals shall be tested in accordance with methods laid down in Annex 3.
