Regulation on phytosanitary measures to prevent the introduction and spread of Tomato brown rugose fruit virus.

This Regulation prescribes the necessary phytosanitary measures aimed at preventing the introduction and spread of so called Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (or ToBRFV).
These rules are here aimed for varieties of tomato as follows: Solanum lycopersicum L. and Capsicum annuum. For rules on the detection or suspicion of the presence of plant affected by harmful organism object of this text, see article 3; for rules on the introduction of certain plants, article 4; official controls on the introduction of certain plants intended for planting are prescribed by article 5; special supervision is the subject of article 6; and the movement of certain plants is specified in article 7.
This text also transposes the provisions prescribed by the Commission implementing decision (EU) 2019/1615 of 26 September 2019 establishing emergency measures to prevent the introduction into and the spread within the Union of Tomato brown rugose fruit virus.
