Regulation on special conditions for regenerated cellulose films that come into contact with food.

This Regulation lays down specific conditions for articles and materials made of regenerated cellulose that may be used in the production, preparation and processing of food and placed on the market. This text shall apply to regenerated cellulose foil intended for contact with food or which, due to its intended purpose, comes into contact with food and which is itself a finished product or forms part of a finished product containing other materials and which is made from approved substances for the production of regenerated cellulose foil given in Annex 1. This Regulation transposes the provisions contained in the Commission Directive 2007/42/EC relating to materials and articles made of regenerated cellulose film intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
