Regulation on specific conditions for import of raw milk, milk products, colostrum and colostrum products.

This Regulation sets the detailed conditions for import of raw milk, products deriving from milk, colostrum and colostrum products, if intended for human consumption.
Rules provided by this Regulation are taking into consideration various risk precautionary procedures in terms of animal diseases, various chemical and technological procedures, issues on necessary thermal treatment, pasteurization procedures and other related practices. These rules are meant for raw milk of cows, sheep, goats and buffaloes.
This Regulation transposes the rules contained in the Commission Regulation (EU) No 605/2010 of 2 July 2010 laying down animal and public health and veterinary certification conditions for the introduction into the European Union of raw milk and dairy products intended for human consumption.
