Abstract
This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the Montenegrin Law on the organization of agricultural products market, here prescribes the standards for placing poultry meat on the market and determines the necessary method for marking and labelling of such poultry meat. Poultry meat in the sense of this text is meat obtained from: 1) chickens (Gallus domesticus); 2) ducks (Anas platyrhynchos dom., Cairina muschata); 3) geese (Anser anser dom.); 4) turkeys (Meleagris gallopavo dom.); 5) pearls (Numida meleagris domesticus). This text shall not apply to small quantities of poultry meat, which the producer supplies directly to the final meat consumers at the place of production and/or retail facilities in the local market with a quantity of up to 50 pieces of poultry per one week. Standards indicated in the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 543/2008 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 as regards the marketing standards for poultrymeat are also here implemented.
