Abstract
This Regulation defines and classifies the sorts and types of vitamins, minerals and other substances that can be add to food and foodstuff, including various requirements that must be met, such as the manner and conditions for the correct labelling and placing on market.
The rules here defined will apply to the following categories: food for special nutritional needs; new food and ingredients of new food; genetically modified food; food additives and flavorings; and enological permitted manufacturing practices and processes for grape processing.
This Regulation transposes the rules contained in the Regulation (EC) No 1925/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006 on the addition of vitamins and minerals and of certain other substances to foods.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
