National Energy Policy and Energy Action Plan 2009.

The objective of this Policy is to provide clean, reliable, affordable, accessible, environmentally appropriate and sustainable energy services for the people of the Marshall Islands to improve their lives. To this end, actions will be taken to improve energy efficiency, reduce dependency on oil, use renewable energy resources for electricity generation for its urban and rural communities, and reduce energy losses.
