Abstract
The Plant and Animal Quarantine Regulations lay down rules to prevent the introduction and further spread of injurious insects, pests, and diseases into and within Marshall Islands, to provide procedures and conditions to ensure the safe movement of plants and animals and their products into and out of Marshall Islands and to fulfill international obligations to prevent the movement of pests in international trade and traffic. The overall objective of these Regulations is to protect the agricultural activities and general wellbeing of Marshall Islanders. Furthermore, these Regulations set forth procedures and principles for quarantine of animals and plants, and provisions on the appointment and powers of the inspectors, and the prohibitions for certain animals and plants.
