Abstract
This Act make amendments in the principal Act by amending Section 503 regarding the establishment and administration of the Protected Areas Network; amending Section 504 by inserting National Sanctuary in the categories of protected areas; amending Section 505 regarding the establishment of the protected area(s) by the Local Resources Committees including local government officials and traditional leaders; inserting new part, Part IIA, on the establishment, declaration and administration of National Sanctuaries; amending Part V as regards preparation and development of a resource management plan for a protected area; amending Section 514 on the submission of resource management plan; and amending Section 515 on operations under resource management plan.
