Abstract
This Law regulates general issues and all necessary procedures regarding public enterprises. Public enterprises can be established for the purpose of performing activities of public interest. The state government (including municipalities and the City of Skopje) may establish public enterprises in accordance with the rules provided in this Law, in order to perform activities of public interest on the national territory. Public enterprises and companies operating in the public interest are subject to competition rules, unless if the application of those rules would prevented the performance of services of public interest.
