Regulation on detailed conditions for collection, drainage and treatment, manner and conditions for design, construction and operation of systems and stations for urban wastewater treatment, as well as technical standards, parameters, emission standards and norms for quality of pretreatment, disposal and wastewater treatment, taking into account the load and the method of treatment of urban wastewater discharged in areas sensitive to urban wastewater discharge.

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waters, prescribes the detailed conditions for collection, drainage, treatment of urban wastewater, including the manner and conditions for pre-treatment, construction and operation of systems and stations for urban wastewater treatment. This text also specifies necessary technical standards, parameters, emission standards, and quality norms for pre-treatment, disposal and treatment of wastewater (see Annex of this publication), also by taking into account the load and method of treatment of urban wastewater discharged in areas sensitive to discharge of urban wastewater. The purpose of rules here prescribed is to control emissions and protect the environment from harmful effects of discharged urban wastewaters. This Regulation is harmonized with the provisions of the Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy; and Council Directive 91/271/EEC concerning urban waste water treatment.
