Spatial plan of the region of the Kozjak reservoir.

This Spatial plan of the region of the Kozjak reservoir (until 2020) is conditioned by the awareness, that the construction of related water accumulation reservoir will challenge deriving changes in space, microclimate, landscape, traffic, in the way of working and living of the population. It will created new spatial relations that must be planned in articulate manner in order to ensure the development and protection of the quality of environment. Geographical location, natural beauties, properties and the attractiveness of the near and wider space of the future water reservoir "Kozjak" is a wide opportunities for development, especially of tourism and recreation, among total economy. The region of the "Kozjak" reservoir is a specific spatial area functional and ambient whole, which has the characteristics of a special micro-region within the wider region of the Poreč, as well as within in the administrative area of the municipality of Samokov. This spatial plan aims to consider the impact of the accumulation "Kozjak" through the natural features, settlements, infrastructure and life and work of the population, in the valley and gorge of the river Treska.
