Abstract
These Regulations provide for the use of ingredients in, and the labelling and marketing of cocoa and chocolate products intended for human consumption as defined in the First Schedule. No person may place on the market any chocolate product, which does not conform the definitions and rules laid down in these Regulations. Vegetable products other than cocoa butter listed in the Second Schedule may be added to specified cocoa and chocolate products in the First Schedule. Such products may be placed on the market provided that they are labelled so as to clearly state that they contain vegetable fats other than cocoa butter (reg. 2). Regulation 3 contains rules relative to the labelling of chocolate products.
