Abstract
These Regulations describe the procedure for veterinary checks to be performed at border inspection posts on products from third countries. The Regulations aim at implementing European Union Commission Decision 93/13/EEC, which has been repealed and replaced by Regulation (EC) No. 136/2004.
The documentary and the identity checks must be carried out according to Schedule A. Schedule B lays down the model of the document to be shown by importers. Physical checks, laboratory tests and analyses of official samples must be performed in accordance with the requirements of Schedules C and D. Regulation 5 concerns those products which shall not be subject to systematic veterinary checks. The plant products listed in Schedule E shall be subjected to the veterinary checks.
