Abstract
These Regulations, which must be read and construed as one with the Propagation Material of Ornamental Plants Regulations (referred to as the principal regulations), have the scope of transposing the Commission Implementing Directive (EU) 2020/177 of 11 February 2020 as regards pests of plants on seeds and other plant reproductive material. These Regulations amend article 3 by introducing a new definition of "regulated non-quarantine pests". Sub-regulations (1) to (5) of article 6, concerning visual inspections on the presence of pests are amended while sub-regulation (6) thereof is deleted. Sub-regulation (2) of regulation 7 is substituted by a new sub-article concerning the necessity to report to the Directorate the appearance of a harmful organism in the premises of a supplier engaged in the production of propagation material. Regulation 10 is deleted and Schedule I to the principal regulations, is substituted by a new Schedule.
