Abstract
Pursuant to the provisions laid down in Directive 91/495/EEC, the present Rules apply to the public and animal health problems affecting the production and placing on the market of rabbit meat and farmed game meat. Four Schedules ate attached. Schedule I deals with ante-mortem and post-mortem health inspection of rabbits, public health marking, storage and transport. Schedule II lays down the public health certificate model for fresh rabbit meat intended for consignment to a Member State of the European Community; Schedule III contains the health certificate model for farmed rabbits or game transported from the farm to the slaughterhouse; Schedule IV lays down the health certificate model for fresh fanned game meat intended for consignment to a Member State of the European Community.
